Using modern production techniques, the shell is assembled from five thin sheets of plywood covered in a polished veneer prior to heat and pressure shaping. This is contrasted by the sharp lines of the chromed aluminium base and frame that gently lock together the curved, organic forms to create one harmonious silhouette. To alleviate any friction and provide ease of movement, pioneering rubber shock-mount pads are placed between the frame and shell enabling the back and headrest to flex.
